Directions to the Southern Ohio Machinegun Shoot in Minford Ohio
Please note
1. The range is on Scioto
County Road 18 also know as White Gravel-McDaniel Road.
2. Scioto Road 18 is winding and somewhat narrow.
3. Mapquest/Yahoo have directions to the range with alternate routes...these
are the shortest routes...not necessarily the best!
4. Look for white paint marks in the roadway leading into the range.
5. You are looking for the 5600 block of White Gravel-McDaniel Rd.
From the North i.e. Columbus, Dayton OH
1. US 23 South to Lucasville
Ohio.
2. At the first traffic light turn left onto Ohio SR 728. This turns into Scioto
County Road 28 and is also known as Lucasville-Minford Rd.
3. Go 6 miles, cross the railroad tracks and stop at the traffic light at Muletown
Mini-Mart.
4. Turn left (north) onto SR 335, go 1 mile
5. Bear right onto Scioto County Road 18 (White Gravel-McDaniel Rd).
6. Go 5.6 miles (stay on Scioto 18!)
7. Just past White Gravel Community Church (at the 5 mile marker) start looking
for Staff with safety green t-shirts directing traffic and parking cars.
From the South i.e. Portsmouth OH, Lexington KY, Charleston WV
1. From Portsmouth...take
US 23 North to Lucasville Ohio about 8 miles.
2. At the second traffic light turn right onto Ohio SR 728. This turns into
Scioto County Road 28 and is also known as Lucasville-Minford Rd.
3. Go 6 miles, cross the railroad tracks and stop at the traffic light at Muletown
Mini-Mart.
4. Turn left (north) onto SR 335, go 1 mile
5. Bear right onto Scioto County Road 18 (White Gravel-McDaniel Rd).
6. Go 5.6 miles (stay on Scioto 18!)
7. Just past White Gravel Community Church (at the 5 mile marker) start looking
for Staff with safety green t-shirts directing traffic and parking cars.
From the East i.e. Athens OH, Parkersburg WV
1. US 50 to Athens OH
2. Continue West following signs to Cincinnati and Jackson
3. US 50 dumps you onto SR 32 (Appalachian Hwy)
4. DO NOT continue on US 50...take SR 32!
5. Pass through Jackson OH
6. Turn left onto SR 139
7. Continue on SR 139 into Scioto County...about 12 miles
8. Approximately 1 mile into Scioto County look for Scioto Rd 18 on the right
in a sharp left-hand corner
9. Follow Scioto 18 for 5.5 miles (stay on Scioto 18!)
10. Look for Staff with safety green t-shirts directing traffic and parking
cars.
From the West i.e. Cincinnati OH, Indianapolis IN
1. From Cincinnati
take SR 32 (Appalachian Hwy) to US 23...about 80 miles.
2. Go South on US 23 to Lucasville OH
3. At the first traffic light turn left onto Ohio SR 728. This turns into Scioto
County Road 28 and is also known as Lucasville-Minford Rd.
4. Go 6 miles, cross the railroad tracks and stop at the traffic light at Muletown
